ICT and Education 2030

On July 10th, 2017 WikiEye’s CEO discussed the universal safe and direct access to Open Educational Resources in the context of Edu-Centric Search Technologies in his talk “Global Mobile Learning – Transforming Current Challenges into Opportunities” as part of the ‘Promoting Digital Innovations for SDG 4’ session of The International Forum on ICT and Education 2030.

The Forum was co-organized by UNESCO and the Government of the People’s Republic of China and convened senior government officials, senior representatives of international organizations, executives of ICT companies, eminent researchers and practitioners.

The focus was harnessing ICT to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 4 for Education 2030 and WikiEye was invited as a contributor to the global agenda for disruptive digital innovations in educational technology and online search.

Cybersecurity and Innovation

On July 6th, 2017 WikiEye’s CEO shall present latest-generation information security technology and a short list of current implementations in his talk “How to Make the Total Data Protection Accessible” as part of the ‘Cooperation in Cybersecurity & Innovation’ program of the ‘Global Cooperation Forum 2017’ Conference and Exhibition. The conference is organized by the Defence Industry Club Association, the Bulgarian Association of Information Technologies, the State Agency for Investments in Bulgaria and BASSCOM and will be held on July 5-7th 2017 at the Central Military Club in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Other conference presenters include government officials and ambassadors, industry leaders and security experts from the EU, US, CIS, China, Japan, Korea and Israel, presidents of chambers of commerce, academics and representatives of NGOs focused on innovations and the knowledge-based economy.

Internet Users Security and Protection

The International Conference ‘Cybersecurity Challenges: Information Security on the Net (risks, regulations, solutions)” organized by the Sofia Security Forum and The National Laboratory of Computer Virology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences was held on November 28th, 2016 in Sofia.

In its talk “How can the Experience with Classified and Enterprise Information Security Be Relevant to the Needs of the Everyday Internet User” WikiEye’s CEO presented how practical applications and customizations of technologies and tools implemented for corporate or agency use are applied to the immediate benefit of the Internet users at no cost.

Other conference presenters were government members, executives from the State Commission of Information Security, The Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection, internet and security experts focused on the protection of the Internet users globally.

Innovations and Security

The Third International Conference ‘Innovations and Security – Cooperation in the Innovations and Security East-West’ organized by the Defence Industry Club Association, the Atlantic Club, the State Agency for Investments in Bulgaria and BSMEPA was held on November 9-11th 2016 in Sofia.

In its talk “Is Universal Data Security Attainable” WikiEye’s CEO presented latest-generation information security technology and a short list of current implementations.

Other conference presenters were government officials, ambassadors and military attaches to Bulgaria, industry leaders and security experts from the EU, China and Israel, presidents of chambers of commerce, academics and representatives of NGOs focused on innovations and the knowledge-based economy.

International Human Rights Day Expert panel

To celebrate the International Human Rights Day on 10 December 2015, the Council of Europe, in partnership with the Applied Research and Communications Fund and the Center for the Study of Democracy, hosted an event to discuss human rights protection in the digital age.

WikiEye presented European case studies and a working proposal for EU regulators and the public sector under the title “Balancing public and private interest on the Internet: right to freedom of expression and right to private life” .

Other participants included representatives of: Government, private sector and civil society, Council of Europe, OSCE, Bulgarian Ministry of Information Technology and Communications, international NGOs working on digital human rights, Internet private sector including the Bulgarian Association for Information Technologies, Google, Facebook, Microsoft, EuroISPA, Internet Society, human rights on Internet policy makers and experts.

Trust, Privacy and Security of Personal Data in the Digital World

The International Conference ‘Trust, Privacy and Security of Personal Data in the Digital World’ was held on November 18-19th 2015 in Sofia under the honorary aegis of Mr. Giovanni Buttarelli, European Data Protection Supervisor, and Ms. Maya Manolova, Ombudsman of the Republic of Bulgaria, and was organized by the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection and the Association for People Management.

WikiEye's talk "How to be Forgotten-Challenges and Solutions" presented findings from our UK case studies and a proposal for the European Data Protection Authorities.

Other conference presenters were EU institutions representatives, officials from national data protection authorities from EU member states, NGOs, universities and research centers, leading law offices and best practices leaders from the tech industry.

Event two
Youth Security on the Internet

The forum ‘Youth Security on the Internet. Cybersecurity Challenges’ was held on November 10-12th 2015 in Sofia and was organized under the Erasmus+ Programme by Sofia Security Forum and the Center for Human Resource Development.

WikiEye presented a prototype solution for platform- and network-independent cyberbullying protection for minors and hosted a discussion on the children-parent-technology interaction, best practices and policy suggestions.

Other conference presenters were government officials, cybersecurity experts, youth protection organizations, research centers and the vibrant no-unanswered-questions hosts of the ‘Young Leaders’ program.
